Xara+ releases updates/new features as they become available - to the Cloud version, not to the perpetual version, as far as I know. If you use the M-Hosting, you can pay for that separately. If you don't pay after the year is up, you can just keep on going with the perpetual program without access to the Online Catalog Content (make sure to have downloaded everything first). Just take note of the conditions about " If you reinstall the program after one year." The basic version means the one that was available when you last paid. Depending on when you purchased Xara from Magix, if version 20 comes out, you can download and install it as part of the Update Service. Magix releases about 1 interim update with new features per version. You have a perpetual version of Xara DPX. After the one-year Update Service has expired you can extend it for a discounted price. If you reinstall the program after one year, you will have access to the basic version without Update Service. With the Update Service you will receive one full year of new features and updates for free, which can be used indefinitely.
